When cleaning out the inside of your pumpkin, we always recommend saving the pumpkin seeds. They can be a really great treat! How do we make pumpkin seeds? Well, were going to start with a basic pumpkin seed recipe. We will post some “sweet” pumpkin seeds and some “spicy” pumpkin seeds as we sift through and try several recipes. However, we know the basic technique that we like to employ. - Scoop the seeds out of the pumpkin
- Rinse the seeds but do not separate all of the pumpkin from the seeds (as the pumpkin adds flavor)
- Put the seeds in a bowl.
- Pour some melted butter and salt over the seeds. Mix the butter, salt and seeds to ensure even distribution.
- Get a baking sheet and spray some olive oil or cooking oil.
- Spread the salted and buttered seeds evenly on the baking sheet
- Pre-heat the oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Bake the pumpkin seeds for 30-40 minutes.
- Enjoy!
